Tamara Avis Smith
Tamara Avis Smith was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia.  She graduated
in 1996 from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA with a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology.  While at Mary Baldwin College, Tamara served as a Judicial
Board member, the Judicial Board Chairperson, sat on the Executive Committee and was a member of the Senior Class Board.

Tamara attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in
Birmingham, AL and graduated in two and one-half years with her juris doctor
in 1999.  While at Cumberland School of Law, Tamara participated in the Mock
Trial Competition, Cumberland Mediation Competition and the National
Mediation Competition.

Upon graduation Tamara relocated to the Wilmington area and began practicing exclusively in the areas of Matrimonial & Family Law.  During her practice, Tamara has gained extensive in court and out of court experience which assists clients who are transitioning through one of the most difficult phases in their lives.  Tamara's philosophy has always been that each case is unique and should be handled as such.
